DEERWATER DENTAL WELLNESS

Something to Really Smile About

Helping people Reach Full Potential

Dr. Isabella Wang owns and operates Deerwater Dental Wellness, a complete dental health practice in Vancouver, British Columbia. Since 1996, when Dr. Wang left her home town in Quebec to start her career and open Pacifica Dental Centre now re-named to Deerwater Dental Wellness in Vancouver, B.C., Dr. Wang has become one of the leading dentist in Vancouver by taking an advanced multi-disciplinary approach to oral health care specialising in chronic pain, sleep, airway, and restoring function, comfort, beautiful smiles, and harmony in the body. Dr. Wang’s protocols include: treatment and management of the head and neck pain related TM (Temporo-Mandibular) and sleep breathing disorders. Most of the patient’s who have suffered for more than 20 to 30 years of chronic pain have consistently experienced significant to complete resolution of their symptoms. Team members and patients have marvelled at Dr. Wang’s superlative skills transforming her patients through wellness dentistry. In addition to the above, Dr. Wang hones her skills in different disciplines in dentistry from general dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, advanced regenerative surgery of the gum and bone (soft and hard tissue) and implantology. Dr. Wang takes a step-bystep personalised approach to attain the patient’s overall oral health goal through the comfort of conscious oral sedation if the patient so chooses.

Dr. Wang herself has overcome her own chronic pain since being injured at a young age in martial arts and sports where she had severe osteoarthritis of her knee where she suffered personally for more than 20 years with TMD, chronic headache and spinal dysfunction resulting her to become a seeker and an avid learner of advance treatment protocols from the top specialist in North America. After exhausting all the different typical departmental approaches which were limiting in the results, Dr. Wang was fortunate to have come across advance regenerative medicine through platelet rich plasma and autologous stem cell therapy and a systematic approach to the body’s prioritisation and structural compensation. This lead to treatment direction according to what the brain perceives as highest priority and resolution of chronic conditions. She understands what is required to restore the harmony between the functional planes of the body: neurologic, musculo-skeletal and circulatory.

Dr. Wang attained her Doctorate in Medicine Dentaire (DMD) in 1996 at the University of Laval in Quebec, Canada with awards and recognition from The American Society of Dentistry for Children, American Academy of Oral Facial Pain, Academy of Operative Dentistry, Quintessence Award for Academic Achievement. She continued her education and pursued numerous post-doctorate continuing education courses, seminars, and residency programs:

The Technologies
Deerwater Uses

1CAD/CAM by Dentsply Sirona

With this technology, we could offer restorations in one visit - with all common materials. Efficiency, greater value creation and safety: this technology makes exactly this possible.

For you, this technology – no matter what material - can offer speed and a comfortable treatment without impression tray, without annoying provisional and with only one injection.

A win-win situation: we can meet the highest demands and you can get the best treatment.

2BioJVA by Bioresearch

Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA) is based on simple principles of motion and friction: When smooth surfaces rub together, little friction is created…and little vibration. If these surfaces become rough, then friction and vibration are created when these surfaces articulate.

3TScan by Bioresearch

For years, dental occlusion had been largely a matter of guesswork for dentists. Not anymore, with the T-Scan (an occlusal analysis device), we can record and analyze occlusal forces and timing using ultra-thin sensors.

4MLS Laser Therapy by Bioresearch

MLS Laser Therapy technology is the most advanced laser therapy system on the market. Reduction of response times, and therefore overall treatment times, distinguishes MLS Laser Therapy from traditional laser therapy with reciprocal advantages for both the operator and the patient.

5Myobrace

Modern research shows that crooked teeth and poor jaw development are not caused by hereditary factors.

Myobrace focuses on treating the underlying causes, unlocking natural growth and development.

Used by dentists and orthodontists in over 100 countries Myobrace has successfully treated millions of children worldwide.

The best part of Myobrace is that it is a preventive pre-orthodontic treatment that focuses on addressing the underlying causes of crooked teeth, often without the need for braces, allowing for natural growth and development.

At Deerwater, this technology can also be used effectively for adults in combination to other methods.

6Damon Smile

The Damon System is not just about revolutionary braces and wires, it's a whole new way of treating patients.

Traditional treatment often requires removal of healthy teeth and/or the use of palatal expanders to make space.

This approach is often uncomfortable, takes longer, and can leave a narrower arch and a flat profile.

Damon smiles are full, natural 10-tooth smiles achieved with light biologically-sensible forces, and are specifically designed to improve the overall facial result of each patient.

7Piezosurgery Touch by Mectron

When it comes to cutting bone, a professional can, of course, use traditional burs and saws. They do cut bone, too – but they do not differentiate: any soft tissue getting in their way will also be cut.

The special ultrasonic micro vibrations of the original PIEZOSURGERY® technique cut bone – and nothing else. No soft tissue is damaged, which allows the doctor to work with a precision that facilitates not the only surgery itself, but reduces postoperative discomfort for you at the same time.
